Domaine William Fevre Chablis 2023 SF Chronicle - Past Pick Joe Phelps was a ColoradoThe village level Chablis from the domaine that farms more Grand Cru than anyone else in town. This is the bottle Fevre uses to lay out their house style: classical Chablis cut with a touch of orchard fruit, a whisper of oak, and the unmistakable chalky bite of Kimmeridgian limestone. 2023 is a generous vintage here, with riper pear and white flower aromatics balanced by saline freshness. The everyday Chablis benchmark.
